Who we are, What we do.
 
The duties of this committee are as follows:
  • To analyze all local and federal labor legislation and keep the local membership informed
  • Ascertain the qualifications and make recommendations to the local membership on candidates in local, state, and federal elections
  • Investigate and approve all political petitions before they are permitted to be circulated by the local or the membership
  • Strongly encourage all members to participate in all local, state, and federal elections through registration and balloting and if necessary, to appoint sub-committees to achieve this end. Such sub-committees must have the approval of the membership
  • See that effective measures are adopted to advise the membership of pending legislation to organize effective protest rallies and of any political endorsements.
